Cassandra Cole is owner and operator of Cole’s Tutoring. We are a full service education services company specializing in helping students to overcome learning challenges. As a licensed Christian minister and gifted educator with more than 35 years of experience, Cassandra Cole brings to every teaching opportunity a unique sense of excitement, determination, faith and passion for developing learning experiences tailored to the needs of each student.   

Mrs. Cole began working with children at an early age when she provided child care and served as a summer camp counselor in her home community of Greeneville, Tennessee. Cassandra’s passion for nurturing young minds was evident to those around her from the very beginning of her career.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education at East Tennessee State University and began her career as a teacher in the Infant and Toddler Center at the same university. She then served for 13 years as Preschool Director and kindergarten teacher at Renaissance Christian Academy in Suitland, Maryland. In addition to teaching, she supervised the preschool teaching staff and helped to build student enrollment. It was during this stage of her journey when she began to embrace and hone a new, more creative and dynamic style of teaching.

As part of a team of educators brought in to help elementary  students to improve reading skills, Cassandra also helped to develop and manage a special program at Shadd Elementary School in Washington, D.C. Despite the unique challenges which faced her group, she was encouraged to find that the “Love First Approach” that had brought her success in the classroom up to that point was just as effective in spurring progress among these inner city youth as it was with students from more affluent backgrounds. This experience solidified a true appreciation for the unstoppable power of God’s love in serving the needs of children from all backgrounds.

Cassandra’s love for teaching and learning were expanded to helping other educators when she served as an instructor for 90 Hour Early Childhood Certification classes with the Hope Organization.

For more than 15 years, Mrs. Cole worked with the Genesis Learning Corporation, serving as General Manager and kindergarten teacher for multiple sites and supervising staff, helping to insure that classrooms were managed creatively and effectively to maximize student learning.

Cassandra’s excellence, patience, and enthusiasm have earned her respect from parents and peers alike while changing the lives of countless children. Armed with an infectious excitement and a love for children, she continues to believe every child can succeed with compassionate, creative, committed, and consistent instruction.
